ebay cracks down on sellers of 8GB iPod nano copy
faked memory MP3 players for listing violations.
Auctions are removed by ebay for 8GB iPod
nano copy faked memory MP3 players listed by multiple Hong Kong sellers that
were in violation of ebay listing policy.
In a press release dated: August 12, 2007
nano-tech-discount-electronics.com revealed "Hong Kong sellers flood ebay
and other online sales venues with 8GB faked memory iPod 2nd gen copy". In
another recent search on ebay by nano-tech-discount-electronics.com for 8GB MP3
player, it was found that all listings for auctions that were running, were in
fact listed in accordance with ebay policy. All the listing by offending sellers
had been removed.
This is a good sign for ebay sellers that
play by the rules, but is not likely to last indefinitely. "They are like
carp, there will be more where they came from. It does not appear that ebay is
to concerned about the fact that the memory is compressed from 1GB flash memory
to make 8GB, but when they have as many as six hundred identical items listed at
the same time, that is where they will draw the line" said Dan, the sales
manager for nano-tech-discount-electronics.com.
nano-tech-discount-electronics.com believes
that there should be a level playing field for honest sellers of iPod nano
alternative Mp3 players and flash memory gadgets who play by the rules. We will
continue to follow this story about ebay 8GB MP3 player fakes.
